“ Food is excellent Service is fast and prompt I would go back if I lived closer. Small and great atmosphere ”
“ Great food. If you are looking for a little piece of Hawaii you found it. I got the bbq chicken and katsu plate and some spam Masubi. You gotta try this place. Come hungry cause the portions are big. ”
“ I got hooked on Leo's when i had their spam mitsubi, its awesome as is their grilled chicken and meats. But Hawaian bbq isn't real unless their macaroni salad is outstanding and Leo's doesn't disappoint. Their vegetables are done to perfection too As always. I only highlight family owned and operated restaurants. Look for baskin robins in the same mall Cheers. PS your welcome for helping you find this fabulous takeaway that has seating too ”
“ I was craving Hawaiian barbecue and was in the west side so decided to hit up Leo's island bbq because when I lived on this is if town is always hit!! I got the chicken and rib combo plate to share with my gf because the portions are huge!! It comes with bbq chicken, chicken katsu and short ribs. Also come with two scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. And that's not all ... some steamed veggies as well all of that for 15.49! That's a deal in my opinion. We got that and an extra side of macaroni salad because I remember it was really good. They also have several Hawaiian drinks to choose from in a can, which are all delicious! The macaroni salad was not a sweet as I remember but it was still very good. The bbq and the chicken katsu was our fav. The short ribs were flavorful, but very fatty this time. We also got a mini bowl of the chicken katsu to go for her son and he liked it and was stuffed the mini is also loaded with food!! They have. Katsu sauce and teriyaki sauce for you to take b The teriyaki sauce was delicious the Katsu sauce we did not care for. I have had lots of cutter sauce and this one just had a funny taste to it. Not my favorite. Someone next to us said to order a side of curry next time so I will for sure do That. The service is straight and to the point . Place is small but clean. The food does take some time to get but it's because it's made to order which I love! This place is for sure a must try when in the area even if you're not it's worth the drive! ”
“ Very very good Hawaiian bbq food. Very much hole in the wall, great for take-out, kind of restaurant. The price and portion are pretty great! I love the steamed veggie bed underneath the meat. Makes me feel like I'm not sacrificing on my health haha. I also love the Mac salad. The meets were juicy and the sauces complimented them well. The staff was very helpful and nice as well :) ”
“ Best thing about Leo's Island bbq is their bbq chicken. It was absolutely juicy and delicious. The short rib was also delicious; not very fatty yet ton of flavor. Their macaroni salad was also good. We also tried their pulled pork but it had very strong smoke taste to it. Their chicken katsu also had funky aftertaste...like as if fried in old oil. Hope it was an off day. Willing to try again and update review. ”
“ I got the chicken katsu mini meal for $9.99 and it was a great deal! As you can see it's plenty of food and great for the value. The service was quick and the restaurant was clean and stayed busy. ”
“ This is my favorite Hawaiian food spot in the valley! It's a bit of a drive for me, but so worth it! The employee's are always so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is nothing special, just a typical smaller dining room where you order at the counter. But the vibes are always great. The food is always insanely great! They really scratch the itch for when I'm looking for authentic Hawaiian food. So far everything I have tried has been great. ”
“ This is a small, no frills establishment. But what you are coming for is where they shine: the food. This is authentic island food and plenty of it. You can rarely find portions like these any more. Favorite were the kalbi ribs, katzu chicken, and island bbq chicken. We wished we would have tried the Kailua pork. Everything was prepared well and delicious. I don't live in the area, or I would definitely frequent this establishment. I hope the local realize what a gem they have here. ”
